English release dates are the North American dates we track (day precision). Japanese dates are the exact days on Bandai's official Japanese product pages (live or archived), except EB-05, whose day comes from ONE PIECE.com official news while Bandai's product page still shows October 2026. EB-04's English cell is from Bandai's English [OP14-EB04] and [OP15-EB04] product pages. Box prices are Japanese sealed box medians from completed eBay sales, as of October 13, 2026 — live numbers on each set page. If you spot a date that does not match an official source, tell us and we will correct it.

How far apart Japanese main sets release

Every gap between consecutive Japanese main-set releases, measured from the dates above. 10 of the 17 gaps are exactly 91 days — thirteen weeks. The median is 91 days and the full range is 84–105 days. These are records of what already happened; no future date is projected from them.

How to read the release rhythm

Bandai has kept a steady cadence: a main set roughly every quarter in Japan, with the English version historically following three to four months later. That gap has been shrinking — OP-14 arrived in English 55 days after Japan, and OP-16's English release came 13 days after the Japanese one. For collectors this matters in two ways. First, the old strategy of importing Japanese boxes before the English hype wave has less runway than it used to. Second, release weeks concentrate supply: as our six-month price study shows, both language versions of a new set tend to bottom in the weeks right after wide release — OP-16's English box median fell from $234 in its first week of completed sales (June 14) to $217 in the week of July 12 (n=195).
